We went to the GC yesterday and the journey took longer than usual as the tracks were having some maintenance work done and so we hopped off at Yerongpilly, took the bus and hopped back on at Kuraby. Thankfully there were buses available for the transit. And it was a comfortable second half of journey in the train as i sat in a 2-seater which also had a 2-seater facing it so i could stretch out my legs. We all arrived in GC ~2 hours later, had a late lunch and then it was off to the beach. Everyone took a lot of pictures. Walked along the beach, wet our feet in the water letting them sink in, enjoyed the many seagulls flocking about, the cool sand, warm water and salty breeze. Plus there were many people around enjoying themselves and parents letting their babies crawl on the pale sand.
Even though it was cold, most of us had ice-creams from Gelatissimo. There were so many chocolate flavours, Death by chocolate, the selection was named. I had the Mocha Nut Crunch. Yum. The Belgian choc was also exquisite.
